I have always been very keen on learning, sometimes driving my parents crazy as a child with my curiosity. Here is a brief history of my academic achievements:

Currently I work for EControl-Glas GmbH & Co. KG, a German company situated in Bavaria. I am responsible for electrochemical research on thin film materials, with application in switchable (electrochromic) glazings or 'smart windows'. Electrochromic materials change colour when ions are inserted into them under the influence of an applied electric field; electrochromic windows change colour (from clear to dark blue state) when switched with an electronic controller unit. Electrochromic windows may be used to control the flow of heat and light into buildings, thereby optimising internal conditions and allowing the user to save energy based on heating, cooling and lighting loads.
